EROTIC MEDIA LANDS COMMUNITY CINEMA OWNER IN JAIL

Lilongwe, Area 36 - In a shocking turn of events, a 34-year-old community cinema owner has been sentenced to jail for distributing erotic media to children under age.
According to sources within the Area 36 Police Department, the cinema owner was arrested and taken into custody after a thorough investigation revealed that he had been showing explicit content to minors at his cinema in Kandikole.
The cinema owner's defense claimed that he had raised the ticket prices for the explicit showings from K100 to K200, but this did not deter some children from attending. However, the court rejected this argument, stating that the distribution of erotic media to children under age is strictly prohibited.
Mrs. Kalima, a concerned parent, reported the incident to the authorities after her child revealed they had watched the explicit content at the cinema. Despite initial reports to the village headman, Chief Kaondo, and village court counseling, the cinema owner continued to show the erotic media, leading to his eventual arrest and prosecution by Inspector Banda of the Lilongwe Police Department.
The suspect was taken to Area 3 to face trial, where he was found guilty and sentenced to jail. The community has welcomed the court's decision, citing the importance of protecting children from explicit content.
This incident serves as a reminder to community members to report such incidents to the authorities, and for business owners to adhere to laws and regulations regarding the distribution of explicit content.
