A man, who hadn't been in touch with his niece for many years due to her father's abandonment of the family, appeared out of the blue. Frank Chibanga asked his sister-in-law Ruth Mphero for his niece's phone number, claiming he wanted to check in on her. The next day, he called Chifuniro Adamson the niece, asking where she was and stating that he was just checking on her. The following day, he visited her, asking to borrow her phone, claiming his was switched off and he needed to call someone about a contract. After making the call, he excused himself, saying he had to go to the market to meet the person and would return soon. According to sources within the Area 36 Police Department, the cinema owner was arrested and taken into custody after a thorough investigation revealed that he had been showing explicit content to minors at his cinema in Kandikole. The cinema owner's defense claimed that he had raised the ticket prices for the explicit showings from K100 to K200, but this did not deter some children from attending.
